We have completed 138 design and build projects this year and here are the four project highlights from each season.
Spring Project – East Dulwich Grove, SE22
Ground Floor Wraparound Extension
The final extension design for this ground floor Victorian terrace flat added 28SQM of additional space, creating an open plan living, kitchen and dining room, perfect for family life and entertaining. The new space and layout also allowed for a study and playroom making the two-bedroom flat more functional for the growing family.

Summer Project – Ribblesdale Road, SW16
Ground Floor Wraparound Extension
This projects emphasis is on indoor/outdoor living. The project was completed at the start of summer 2020, allowing our clients to take full advantage of the hot weather throughout the lockdown period.
Through the addition of a wraparound extension we created a light and bright open-plan living, kitchen and dining space with 3 large architectural skylights and full width bi-fold doors to the garden. An interesting design feature of this project is the steel beams that have been left exposed, they create a lovely contrast to the white walls and add heaps of character to the space.

Autumn Project – Plato Road, SW2
Ground Floor Side Return Extension
We completed this side infill extension in Autumn this year for our clients Sara & Paul, their brief to our Architectural designer Steven was to create a kitchen/dining extension that would allow them more room to socialise and spend time together as a family.
The new extension makes great use of the wasted space along the side return, this left over passage to the garden area is often an underutilised and narrow space used as storage. By extending the rear of your property to incorporate this passage into your home you can open up the downstairs living/kitchen spaces and improve your access to the garden. We added 12SQM to this project allowing us to create a large open plan kitchen/diner, which is now 30SQM overall.

Winter Project – Exeter Road, NW2
Ground Floor Rear Extension
This project falls within the Mapesbury conservation area, therefore our designer Arya had to take careful consideration of the surroundings, the existing structure and properties within the vicinity when designing this extension. We added a single storey rear extension on the ground floor of this detached 4 bed property to accommodate a larger kitchen/living space that is more fitting to the size of the property.
By reconfiguring internally and making good use of the external side returns, we have been able to create a much more useable space that is also considerate of the relationship between the property and the garden, by extending out to the sides but no further to the rear than the outrigger of the existing kitchen we have been able to maintain the full size of the garden.
