I use strong grease, Black and White hair wax is my current favorite, it’s very similar to Vaseline, in fact it contains vaseline.

This can be tricky as the last thing you want is to crack a tile which is already on the wall. I would suggest using a carbide-tipped drill bit (shaped like an arrow head) this will cut a neat hole and should solve your problem.

I love Bosch tools, they always seem good vale for money. I have also bought a drill very recently from a manufacturer called MAC, I am always sceptical about cheap tools but this one has been performing very well.
